Piney
is small like her dam. She has the great disposition that
comes from both lines. Canada and Spike are two of the easiest goats to work
with and Alex and Nibbles were the same. Personally I love
how friendly she is. Now, my husband wanted me to sell her
because she was always at the gate and in his way. So, I
guess there are two sides to every story. Piney had the
widest escutcheon of all the doe lings of 2006. She has
very straight front legs. She really reminds me of my Shimmy. She
has the deep body and that short neck that you’d think was not dairy.
But, I can tell you my short necks make milk. Take a
look at Rabbit, our 5000-pound producer. Piney is very deep bodied and has
strong legs and good rear leg angulation and does not hock in at all.
Yea, she’s not perfect. I’d like to see a longer
rear rump on her and a head held up higher. I’ve seen
this in my girls before and by age 3 they were very tall and sharp.
Piney got dry mastitis and that’s scary. I hope
her udder turns out OK, because it has all the fixings
