Feather was a 4.2-pound triplet that we sold when she was 8 weeks. I repeated the breeding and picked out a buckling to keep in 2009. We named him ZZ Top. In a very sad and freak accident we lost ZZ Top. All the Shine kids had been sold and we had no kids of Shines. We were fortunate to be able to purchase little Feather back. She is a small doe, yet very strong. She is nice and level on the top line. She has a level rump from thurl to thurl and when viewed on the move. She is flat boned and has spring of rib, a deep barrel and a deep chest floor. She does hock in a bit on the move. She has a nice high rear udder and a well-supported udder. She has good extension of fore, but it does break a bit. We hope this will improve with the second freshening. Her teats are a little long, yet easy for milking. Feather has been a joy to have return to our herd. She is a beautiful doe inside and out. She is bred to Gentry forMarch kids.
