Thank
you for your interest in Mamm-Key Alpine Dairy Goats, LLC.
Mamm-Key
goats live on a five-acre ranch at 6700 feet. The Alpines love the
snow, rocks and hills. We give our goats and kids love and attention
daily.
Kids
are dam raised when first born; to guarantee quality colostrum intake
and a great start and then they are raised on pasteurized milk.
Unless otherwise requested, all kids are dehorned. We take great
pride in the health of our animals. We have a vaccination and
worming program. We randomly test for CAE & Brucellosis. We are
a TB, Brucellosis, CL & CAE free herd.
Our
goal is to raise healthy goats that will produce a reasonable
quantity of quality milk. We have heavy producers that are also high
quality show goats. We have does that are finished grand champions
that have produced 4000 lbs. We are reaching for a reputation of
some of the best dairy goats in the United States. We look at all
the areas of the Dairy goat when developing our breeding program.
General Appearance is always very important. We are most interested
in improving the mammary system, so that it will support a heavy
producer for many years. Our herd is extremely dairy with wonderful
deep bodies. To
guarantee first choice on a buck or a doe, please send a $100.00
deposit. Please list rather your deposit is for a doe or a buck. We
will take orders on a first served basis. Also list a second choice
with your deposit. Your second choice will be second in line if a
deposit has been placed. You can put a second deposit down and apply
that to the final purchase. Your deposit will be forfeited, if your
kid is not picked up or if other arrangements have not been made by 8
weeks of age. All shipping fees, which include kennel cost,
shipping, health certificate and airfare are the buyer’s
responsibility. We will not ship any kids without a kennel on sight.
You can ship a kennel to us or you can send us the money to buy one
for you. Please check with your airline company for weight, size &
location limits. Grand Junction is our closest airport. We may
charge for additional travel if we have to drive to Denver or Salt
Lake City. We will charge 30 cents a mile if additional shipping
travel charges apply.
We
reserve the right to not offer a kid for sale. If your first choice
is not available, we will transfer your deposit to your second
choice. We will notify you if your first and second choices are not
available and you can decide on transferring your deposit to a third
choice or a refund. Once
a goat is a finished champion we do not keep showing them. We spend
our energy and time on a doe or buck that is not finished. When
showing kids or dry yearlings, once they receive their dry leg, we do
not show them for the rest of the year. If we have room in the
trailer, we will take a doe or buck for champion challenge. This is
important when comparing our show records to others in the industry.
Please
